OUR HISTORY
How it all began
The Winnie Mabaso Foundation was established in 2004 to support vulnerable and orphaned children in South Africa, particularly those living with HIV.
Over the years our work has extended to encompass all ages of those who are disadvantaged and in need from babes in arms to grannies.
As a Foundation we are enormously proud to see how Mabaso love has changed, and continues to change the lives of countless people in South Africa.
Celebrating 20 Years of Mabaso Love!
Over 1000 turned up to celebrate 20 years of Mabaso Love on the informal settlement of Meriting on Saturday 25th May 2024.

ILAMULA HOUSE
In 2014 the Foundation opened a new home for abused, abandoned, orphaned and neglected girls called Ilamula House. It’s home to 22 amazing children many of whom are living with HIV.
TROPIC HOUSE
In 2022 the Foundation opened Tropic House. A forever home for the children who are released from care so they will always have somewhere to call home.
MERITING
FEEDING STATION
Feeding over 1000 people every Friday.
MABASO TINY TOTS
Pre-school for 30 disadvantaged children.
GRANNY CLUB
A weekly club for those in their twilight years.
GARDENING SCHEME
Working with the community to grow fresh vegetables.
